What are GFRP bent elements used for?
IMARA SHAPE is a range of factory-made GFRP bent elements for reinforcement details that cannot be formed safely on site.
L-shaped, U-shaped, square and custom elements are manufactured to an approved drawing with the required diameter, profile, bend geometry and revision control.

03Dimensions and configurationKey dimensional limits for specification and fabrication.+
- Available outer diameter range is 3-12 mm.
- Each side of the element is limited to a maximum of 1 metre.
- Specify every leg dimension, bend radius, outer diameter and surface profile.
- The product schedule must identify dimensional tolerances, orientation, drawing number and revision.
- Required straight-bar and bent-portion mechanical properties are stated in the approved specification.
04Fabrication and verification limitsControls applied before reinforcement elements are released to production.+
- Bent geometry, inside radius, bar diameter and orientation are fixed in the approved fabrication drawing.
- Bent elements are factory-made; field heating or on-site bending is not permitted.
- Reduced strength at the bend is included in the project verification for stirrups and load-carrying bent elements.
- Mechanical connections are selected from verified product and connection test data.
- Each supply batch is identified and matched to the approved geometry and quality-control records.
05Assembly and site integrationConnection methods and installation logic for reinforcement cages.+
- Plastic spacers and holders position bars at the specified concrete cover.
- Plastic ties accelerate assembly compared with steel tie wire.
- Steel tie wire can be used without over-tightening the composite bars.
- Textile ties reduce cage weight where limited deformation is permitted.
- Bent elements form corners and junctions in foundations, beams, walls, slabs and columns.
Every element is defined by the structural drawings, concrete cover, connection detail and installation sequence. Final geometry is released only after project verification.
